This Refund and Cancellation Policy ("Policy") governs the terms under which refunds, cancellations, and related requests are handled on the Chiblu platform operated by CHIBLU INDIA (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED ("Chiblu", "we", "us", or "our").

This Policy should be read in conjunction with the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

1. Platform Role Clarification

• Chiblu operates as a discovery and commerce facilitation platform for independent sellers and small businesses.

• Chiblu does not own, manufacture, stock, sell, or ship products listed on the platform.

• Sellers are solely responsible for product fulfillment, delivery, quality, returns, and refunds unless explicitly stated otherwise.

2. Order Cancellation (Buyers)

2.1 Orders Placed via WhatsApp or External Channels

• Orders placed directly with sellers via WhatsApp or external communication channels are governed by the seller's individual cancellation policy.

• Chiblu is not responsible for cancellations, refunds, or disputes arising from such transactions.

2.2 Orders Placed via Online Payments on Chiblu

• Cancellation requests must be raised directly with the seller.

• Cancellation eligibility depends on:

◦ Seller's cancellation policy

◦ Order status (confirmed, shipped, delivered)

• Chiblu does not guarantee acceptance of cancellation requests.

3. Refunds (Buyers)

3.1 Seller-Managed Refunds

• Refund eligibility, amount, and timelines are determined by the seller's refund policy.

• Sellers may approve or reject refund requests at their discretion, subject to applicable laws.

3.2 Platform-Facilitated Payments

If payment was made through Chiblu's supported payment gateways:

• Refunds (if approved by the seller) will be processed back to the original payment method.

• Refund timelines depend on the payment gateway and issuing bank.

• Chiblu is not responsible for delays caused by payment gateways or banks.

4. Non-Refundable Scenarios (Buyers)

Refunds may not be applicable in the following cases:

• Change of mind or personal preference

• Customized, made-to-order, or perishable items

• Orders placed outside the platform (e.g., direct WhatsApp payments)

• Failure to read product details or seller policies

5. Seller Subscriptions and Platform Fees

5.1 Subscription Fees

• Subscription fees (including catalog plans or add-ons) are non-refundable, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

• Partial usage of a subscription period does not entitle the seller to a refund.

5.2 Platform Service Fees

• Platform service fees or transaction fees charged on successful transactions are non-refundable once the transaction is completed.

6. Failed or Unsuccessful Transactions

In cases where payment is debited but the transaction fails:

• The amount shall be automatically reversed by the payment gateway within standard timelines.

• If not reversed, users must contact the payment gateway or Chiblu support for assistance.

7. Chargebacks and Disputes

• Buyers are encouraged to contact sellers directly before initiating chargebacks.

• Chargebacks initiated without valid reasons may result in account suspension.

• Chiblu may share transaction details with payment partners for dispute resolution.

8. Chiblu's Limitation of Liability

Chiblu shall not be liable for losses arising from:

• Seller refusal to issue refunds

• Product quality or fulfillment issues

• Transactions conducted outside the platform

• Chiblu's role is limited to platform access and payment facilitation where applicable.

9. Force Majeure

• Chiblu shall not be responsible for refunds or cancellations affected by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, or system failures.

10. Policy Updates

• Chiblu reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time. Updates will be posted on the website and shall be effective immediately upon publication.
